Dr. Brent Robbins – Former Agnostic and Catholic Revert
Dr. Brent Robbins came from an Irish and Italian Catholic family, and even went to Catholic schools, but by the time he started studying to be a psychologist as an undergrad, the things he was taught about Freudianism and social adaptations led him to believe that all religion was just the result of politics and evolution. When his wife began to be drawn to the Catholic faith due to her work with Catholic Charities, their family began attending Mass, but Brent mostly went as a way to support his wife. One day, an usher invited Brent to a men’s retreat, and he accepted the invitation. That would lead to an extraordinary experience of God’s presence that would become a major turning point in Brent’s return to the sacraments.
