Jesus told them Unless you eat the body of the son of man and unless you drink the blood of the son of man, you shall not have eternal life. My body is the true bread and my blood the true drink. Those who drink my blood and eat my body will not perish in the Last Judgement and he shall have eternal life.
But the Jews who were happy with Jesus otherwise , could not agree with what Jesus said. They asked how can we eat his body ??? How can we drink his blood ??? ANY THEY BROKE AWAY FROM HIM… JESUS DID NOT SAY THEN, ” I TOLD YOU SYMBOLICALLY WHEN I SAID MY BLOOD AND MY BODY… DON’T BE CONFUSED. ” He firmly remained on to what he had said…..
Everybody left him angrily and only a few of his disciples were left there.. and he even asked them…. don’t you too want to go ??? but they said , where shall we go.. the words of eternal life is with you..
And those disciples were the later apostles, who believed what Jesus had said….. it was to those disciples he performed as he said in John 6.
EVEN A PERSON WITH NORMAL IQ CAN THINK…. JESUS SAID UNLESS YOU EAT MY BODY AND BLOOD YOU SHALL NOT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…..AND SUPPOSE HE DID NOT MAKE HIS BODY AND BLOOD AVAILABLE TO US FOR EATING .. THEN HOW COULD HE SAY ON CROSS THAT EVERYTHING IS COMPLETED….. DID HE FORGET TO PROVIDE HIS BLOOD AND BODY BEFORE COMPLETING HIS MISSION OF HUMAN INCARNATION ???? VERY FORGETFUL JESUS !!!!!! HOW CAN YOU RELAY ON A PERSON LIKE THIS ????? ( Then sorry will be the state of all pentecostal believers who repose their faith on such a forgetful Jesus !!!!) ( Jacob Mobile no. 0091-9400373491.)

Let
us turn our attention to the Bible to confirm for ourselves that the sum of all
life processes does not amount to life, because life is the Spirit who is God;
and not the sum of the constituent organic hardware and software that is the
physical living being. Life is Grace who is God the Father, God the Son and God
the Holy Spirit. And Life is the Bread that comes down from heaven. Listen to
Jesus Christ as He takes us through the blunt science of life:

“Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your
ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven,
which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread
that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my
flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John
6:47-51)

“Very truly I tell you, unless
you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in
you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood
has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real
drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and
drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living
Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will
live because of me. 58 This
is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but
whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” (John
6:53-58)

The followers who
had gathered to listen to Jesus Christ could not believe the teaching, because
they did not believe life was structured that way. What Jesus Christ was
teaching was beyond human science, and caused majority of the crowd to rebel
against the teaching and walk away—some angry, some confused, and some,
disappointed. Here is that passage from the Bible:

“On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is
a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”

61 Aware that his disciples were
grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you
see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63 The
Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The
words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. 64 Yet there are some
of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from
the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. 65 He went on to say, “This
is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled
them.”

66 From this time many of his disciples
turned back and no longer followed him.

67 “You do not want to leave too, do
you?”
Jesus asked the Twelve.

68 Simon
Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal
life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are
the Holy One of God.”

70 Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet
one of you is a devil!” 71 (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who,
though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)” (John
6:60-70)

When
Jesus Christ declared to His disciples, “For my flesh is real food and my
blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my
blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living
Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me
will live because of me. 58 This
is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but
whoever feeds on this bread will live forever. (John
6:56-58)” He was declaring to all mankind that
believing in Him, obeying His commands and partaking in the Holy Communion keep
Christ within our bodies as the life in our bodies.

That
is why He said that whoever does this remains
in Him and He in the person. He said “remains”
because He was already inside of each and every human person, and we are
already inside of Him. Believing in Him and partaking of the Holy Communion
does not put Christ inside us for the first time; but rather causes Christ to
remain inside of us; and we in Him.

By restating the
fact, “Your
ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died,” (John
6:49), Jesus Christ was proclaiming that the sum total of all life
processes—as we learn in Biology—can never amount to life, because all life
processes are perishable. And life is unperishable!

We get sick and
seek medical attention because of the perishability of life processes. In other
words, the perishable can never sum up to the unperishable—no matter how high
they are stacked up (John 6:49).

Life processes
are only viable where “life” already exists. And “life” is the Spirit who is
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Therefore, if any life
process viably remains inside a human body, that is an indication that the
person is still alive—whether or not brain waves are detected in the person.

The Bible says
nothing about brain waves signifying life, because the organic human brain does
not control life. Because life is God and the created does not control the
Creator! Rather, life feeds vitality to the organic human brain and to every
other biological organ, tissue and cell in the human body.

Non-functioning
of one biological organ, or a number of them, does not signify the
non-existence of life in a body. Lack of breath signifies a total shut-down of
all biological life processes in a body. Lack of breath, therefore, signifies
the death of a human person.

The Bible unequivocally
stated that the breath is what indicates the presence of life in a human being (Genesis
2:7). Therefore, as long as a human being still has breath in them,
they are alive. The church must take this seriously. Otherwise the church is
disobeying the teaching of God; and instead, is validating the erroneous
teaching of the world. The word of God is the truth in everything, without any
exception.

Only the
unperishable can give rise to the unperishable. Only the bread that comes from
heaven can give life. Jesus Christ lives because of God who sent Him. And all
human beings live because of Jesus Christ who is the Grace that is the life in
every human being (John 6:57). And Jesus
Christ intensifies the life in every human person when a person puts their trust
in God and His Christ (Ephesians 1:13-14).

In
Genesis, God breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living being
(Genesis 2:7). And in the Book of Job, the Bible
declared that the breath of the Almighty is one and the same as the Spirit of
God. And that the Spirit of God gives us both life and the enlightenment of the
mind. (Job 32:8) & (Job 33:4)

The
Bible also declared that God, out of His glorious riches, strengthens each and
every one of us with power in our innermost being, through God’s Spirit, so
that Christ may dwell in our hearts through our respective faith (Ephesians
3:16-17). And God’s
glorious riches are God’s abundant Grace. And God’s Grace puts Christ, who is
Life, into our bodies to make us living beings (Genesis 2:7).

That
is why the Bible goes into this complex description of the mystery of our
existence in Christ, to establish for us that Jesus Christ is not only our way
to salvation; but also the beginning of our existence as human beings, as well
as the life we currently have in us:

“Praise
be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the
heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For
he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
In love 5 he predestined us for
adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and
will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which
he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the
riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on
us. With all Wisdom and understanding, 9 he
made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which
he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect
when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to
all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3-10)

In
essence, we all had our origins in Jesus Christ. And we all have our present
existence in Jesus Christ. And this irrefutable truth makes it inescapable for
any human being to find any existence or future anywhere else except in Jesus
Christ because of God’s predetermination, made even before time existed.

And
in the Book of Acts, the Bible says that in God, we live and move and have our
being (Acts 17:28). The Bible also declares that it is God who works in
each and every single one of us, to
will and to act, in order to fulfill his good purpose (Philippians 2:13).

Jesus
Christ Himself declared that He and God the Father are one (John
10:30). Christ testified in many
places in the Bible that He is in the Father and that the Father is in Him.

It’s not “literal” in the sense of eating Christ’s earthly flesh, that is, taking a strip of muscle off of his earthly body in his time on earth, nor is it “symbolic” in the sense that most people use the terms these days, where “symbolic” means merely metaphorical. This is where the term “sacramental” comes in handy….this is why it’s called the Real Presence and not the literal presence. Christ is really present but under the sacramental species. This rescues the Mass from being a bloody sacrifice while maintaining the validity and “realness” of His Body being present.
