Did the reservations to David Cross’ glorious return to Comedy Death Ray sell out too quickly, leaving you with a giant hole of sadness on Tuesday night’s event planner? Maybe an exclusive preview of the premiere episode of HBO’s new Flight of the Conchords series will help turn that frown upside down.

From What the Folk! comes word of a screening in LA this upcoming Tuesday at the Rec Center Studio in Echo Park. (8pm, free!) For tickets, head over here. Drinks* and food will be provided, and there’s going to be music by DJ Pube$, who, while we’ve never heard of him before, immediately becomes one of our favorite DJs of all time, based entirely on the name. In what context are we supposed to take the name? Does it mean that he’s so rich that he’s taken to braiding his pubic region with expensive items? Or that, because of his legendary status, his pubic hair has monetary value and can be used to purchase items in the marketplace? Is the dollar sign even recognized as a valid symbol on a birth certificate?

*Some of those drinks will presumably contain alcohol, since this is a 21 & over event. Sorry, kids.
